Freedom House Church Manchester was built to be a particularly lovely place in the world where people can come to worship God in a beautiful place, because we believe our God deserves better than we do.
HOW WE BUILD OUR CHURCH
Here is the beginning of the story, Reverend Nono Mbingu found himself in a long period of isolation where he spent about 4 years alone with God. During this period, he did not want to respond to an invitation to a seminar or a conference because he just wanted to disappear in the city and be alone, isolated and forgotten in the memory of the people, because he still believes in the power of isolation in itself.
During this period of oblivion and total isolation, God began to speak to him through visions,dreams and audible voices for the beginnings of a church in Manchester. We have to understand that it was not a circumstance that prompted him to open a church in Manchester. Although certain circumstances forced him to start the church, but he believes that it was God himself who created all these circumstances to force him to start what he had already been telling him in secret for a long time, but he refused to do so for many reasons.
But in the end, he realised that he had become like the prophet Jonah who wanted to run away from God's mission. Finally, he agreed to do God's will. But he gave God certain conditions. He was addressing to God by saying this in his prayer, "I want a church where we are going to have the minimum requirement to start well.
So in his mind he thought that God would certainly not give him the kind of conditions that he was researching before starting the church in Manchester and then it will be a valid reason for him to abandon this mission.He asked God to give him some money before he could start church. he insisted to God in prayer if you give me this money i will stand up to build your church.
WE STARTED BUILDING FROM THE SCRATCH
OBEY GOD'S VOICE:
One day He was praying alone in his room, a voice began to speak clearly to him, my servant, the money you asked for to start my church, I have already given it to you, so get up and build my church When He finished praying, He understood that God was talking about the money that was in his personal bank account and other funds that came from certain people whom God had touched to sow in this vision. This is how he took the courage to stand up and begin the vision of Freedom House Church Manchester.
But at first, it took at least months, months to study the city of Manchester and experience the realities of the city. Before officially starting in 2019.
The Reverend began to prepare himself materially and designed the church as he wanted it to be presented to the public. He also prepared himself spiritually through prayer and fasting to face any spiritual resistance against him and the vision.
He will spend a lot of time not only for praying but also defining the vision according to the scheme that the Lord has shown him in spirit by working on the shape of the church, the logo, the choice of the best sound, the colors that will represent our vision publicly. He created the website, He wrote the vision in documents to make it easy and clear for those around him to understand and also for the general public to fully understand our vision just by reading our texts on our site Web. And he also did a lot of other things that we can't list here in the idea of making Freedom House Church Manchester a special place in the world.
THE POWER OF PREPARATION:
The reverend also defined geographically where God wanted the church to be located; We therefore chose to settle in the Cheetham Hill area of Manchester due to its geographical position in the city.
The Reverend was well prepared in his mind to face any spiritual, moral and physical realities or any situation that might attempt to destroy our vision.
As we know, our Reverend is a courageous, determined, constant and dynamic man with a spirit of excellence also a man of prayer with great faith who firmly believes in his call and the vision that God has shown him to build the church that will bring a revival to the city of Manchester and the world. And we believe that God will help us to do better than what we have already done.
THE SPIRIT OF EXCELLENCE:
All the supplies, from the meeting room to the office, were new because we had promised to give God the best of ourselves ”.
In conclusion the exceptional construction of Freedom House Church Manchester has demonstrated to us the power of preparation in ministry. Because the way this church was built clearly shows that Reverend Nono Mbingu was well prepared by God to build the house of the Lord. We understand that this is only the beginning, but we firmly believe in a great future with God because it is written “With God we will do exploits, for he will crush our enemies”. (Psalm 60:12)
We continue to give all the glory to God and His Son Jesus Christ who helped us realise this vision by the power of the Holy Spirit. for it is written: "It is neither by power nor by might, but by my Spirit, saith the Lord of hosts" (Zechariah 4: 6)
