8 WAYS TO RESIST THE DEVIL!

1 PETER 5:8-9

Be sober, vigilant. Your adversary, the devil, prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9Resist him with firm faith, knowing that the same sufferings are imposed on your brothers in the world.

“The Bible says that the devil seeks a person to devour. »

From the scriptures we understand that for the devil to devour your life, he must first find a door. Something that will give him legal access to your life.

WHAT CAN THIS DOOR BE?

The question leads us to examine according to the Scriptures what things can serve as doors for the Devil to devour a soul. And among the things that generally serve as a gateway to Satan and his demons are: demonic alliances, disobedience, ignorance, the absence of Christ in your life.

1) THE ABSENCE OF CHRIST IN YOUR LIFE.

2) LACK OF KNOWLEDGE (IGNORANCE)

3) DEMONIC CONVENANTS

4) DISOBEDIENCE

DEMONIC CONVENANTS:

Demonic convenants are the greatest gateway that the devil and his demons often use to take control of people's lives.

Concerning the convenant, you must first know that the word convenant is not originally a demonic word but it is biblically divine and it comes from the Hebrew word Berīt which means contracts, promises or agreements concluded in ritual form and solemn between God and individuals, between God and Israel, between God and several individuals or between individuals and individuals. But it can also be between two families. And the agreements signed in pacts often become laws, that is to say a series of rules to follow considered in the form of commandments which will unite the two parties of the convenant and the one who does not respect the clauses, commandments and oaths loaned, will be sanctioned and punished.

NB; Alliances can be territorial, family and individual.

TERRITORIAL:

There are lands that are already dedicated to the devil and as soon as you set foot there, the devil will claim you. And often its lands dedicated to the devil and his demons are controlled by spirits called territorial spirits. To succeed in this type of territory, you must first conquer this territorial spirit which are often principalities and dominations.

That’s why it’s better to be where God allows you to be. Because you can only be strong in the territory that God has given you because he himself will be with you to bring down the territorial spirits who may rise up against you to allow you to succeed in the country.

FAMILY:

There are families who are already dedicated to the devil and controlled by demons and no one can succeed because their success and wealth have already been sold to the devil by the ancestors. as soon as you want to accomplish something that is not in their bad contract, the devil will claim you. And often his families dedicated to the devil are controlled by spirits called family spirits. To succeed in this type of family, you must first conquer this family or ancestral spirit.

INDIVIDUAL:

There are people who willingly enter into evil pacts or contracts with the devil and for this reason their souls are dedicated to the devil and controlled by demons.

Attention :

Most people are faced with territorial and family alliances which are often alliances made secretly outside of the victim's will. And his demonic pacts are often signed before birth, during pregnancy, on the day of childbirth or after childbirth and during childhood because during this period the child depends on the decision of his parents.

THE STRATEGIES THE DEVIL USES TO FIND A DOOR

There are 5 strategies that the devil uses daily to find a door in his victims: fear, intimidation, insistence, temptation and deception. To escape the devil's strategies, you must resist him with firm faith, as the Bible says.

THE FEAR!

He wants to scare you because he knows that fear is the enemy of faith and he also knows that Christians can only achieve victory through faith.

INTIMIDATION!

he will seek to intimidate you by forcing you to believe that he is more powerful than your God. Through intimidation, he wants to try to sow terror into your soul and mind with the goal of weakening your spirit and weakening your faith in God.

INSISTANCE!

he uses insistence to try to tire you out or make you believe that your prayers are not working and that your God is not doing anything for you.

THE TEMPTATION!

Through temptation, he seeks to entice you to disobey your God so that it becomes a door that will finally give him access to your soul.

to take control of your life.

CUNNING! (THE LIE)

Through trickery, the devil abuses the word of God to trick you into disobeying God through his deceptions. As he did with Eve in the Garden of Eden.

NB:

You should know that resisting the devil is an incessant battle every day until our death; We must therefore continually resist him and prevent him from finding a door into our life. Below I mention the 8 ways to resist the devil every day.

8 WAYS TO RESIST THE DEVIL IN EVERY DAY:

1. RENOUNCE THE DEVIL THROUGH WATER BAPTISM:

Be prepared to renounce the devil on the day of your baptism because Christian baptism represents a transition from death to life, from darkness to light, from divorce from Satan and union with Jesus Christ. (Romans 6:3-4).

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO RENOUNCE THE DEVIL?

To renounce the devil is to refuse to recognise the devil's authority over oneself, and also to refuse to submit to his authority any longer.

Attention :

Renouncing the Devil It is a revolutionary act, a declaration of war and the beginning of a lifelong resistance. It is a verbal proclamation of categorical refusal to obey the voice of the devil and his demons every day of your life.

2. DON’T GIVE THE DEVIL ACCESS:

Do not give access to the devil (Eph. 4:27). The devil looks for opportunities to establish himself in people’s lives in hopes of gaining more ground. This is why you must identify and close all open doors through which Satan could gain closer access to your soul and body.

3. WEAR SPIRITUAL ARMOR:

Wear the full armor of God at all times (Eph. 6:10-20). You should know that the devil is cunning, he is an intriguer. To oppose him, you must put on God's defensive and offensive spiritual weapons.

4. REMAIN SOBER AND VIGILANT AT ALL TIMES:

Stay sober all the time, every day (Sober means vigilant)

(1 Peter 5:8).

NB:

The devil has it easy in the lives of people who do not have Jesus Christ in their lives, and in the lives of people who do not watch over their souls and are generally distracted. So be careful and don't get distracted in your life because the devil is looking for the right time or a legal door to destroy you.

5. STAY CONNECTED TO LOCAL CHURCH LIFE:

Be a faithful member of the local church. Attend worship at the local church as regularly as possible.

It is written: (Heb. 10:25)

Let us not abandon our assembly, as is the habit of some; but let us exhort one another, and all the more as you see the day approaching.

6. LIVE ACCORDING TO GOD’S WORD:

Live your life according to the Bible outside of church, make the word of GOD the most important thing in your life, read the Bible. Believe in the Bible. Memorize the Bible and tell others about it.

It is written: (1 Peter 2:2)

Desire, like children, spiritual and pure milk, so that through it you may grow to salvation.

7. KEEP THE LIFE OF PRAYER:

This means Learn to pray continually against the works of Satan in your life (Jude 1:9).

NB:

When you pray against the work of the devil in your life, you must pray earnestly, with faith and perseverance by the power and authority of the Holy Spirit.

It is written: (Jude 1:9)

But even the archangel Michael, arguing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to condemn him for slander, but said: “May the Lord rebuke you!

8. CONTINUOUSLY BELIEVE IN THE WORKS OF THE CROSS:

This means continually believing that Jesus is greater and more powerful than your enemies. You should know that on the cross, Christ destroyed the works of satan (Hebrews 2:14). and being believers, we are victorious through the blood of the Lamb shed at Calvary.

It is written: (Revelation 12:11).

“They overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives so much that they feared death.

NB:

James promises that the devil will flee those who resist him

It is written: “Submit yourselves therefore to God; resist the devil, and he will flee from you. » (James 4:7)
